"Legal System Abuse & Dropping the Mask"

Throughout June and July, Gary oscillates between trying to "save" Amy and threatening her career, while simultaneously constructing an elaborate fictional narrative that Amy is on a drug
bender at her mother's house. The episode culminates on July 4th weekend, when Gary,
intoxicated, calls Amy claiming he "hit someone" while driving. Amy calls for a wellness check,
and police break down Gary's new glass front door to find him hiding inside—leading to an
explosive, profanity-laden recording where Gary's mask completely drops.
